Player-ran events are events that are not part of the theme, but are being held by a non-staff player. Like PrPs on other games, player-ran events help the game move among. Players cannot expect everything to be done by staff, who are often bogged down by keeping the game running smoothly. Having players step up is always a great way to giveback to the staff and the community itself. Staff always encourage community involvement which help show that players are interested, motivated and like the game that the staff have worked tirelessly to build.

Of course, this is a ship that needs some level of organization, so in order to run an event, there are a few things staff will need in advance.

1) How big of an event is this?
Is this event family only? Clan only? District only? Staff wont expect a headcount of course, but it's important to know if this is a large scale event or a smaller affair. In some cases we may need to assign a higher number of NPC Watchman to the area, or up the number of NPC eyes on the event.
2) Where is the event being help?
Staff need to know where you are having the event? Do the structures effected belongs to the players running the event? This should not pose a problem so long as the event fits the theme and the area it is being held in. For example, one cannot hold a champion fight in the middle of the Phoenix Clan district. Also, will the event require description changes? f so, be prepared to write these.
3) When is the event happening?
Staff need to know when the event will be taking place, and for how long it will run. Players will need to include the time the event will begin, including the OOC timezone.
4) Does this event fit the games setting and theme?
Players need to make sure that what they are planning actually works within the social and political setting o the city, as well as the world in which the game is placed. Staff cannot stress this enough. Please remember the size of the setting, the theme of the game and the laws of the land. Remember that characters are not above the laws, and the Emperor has all final says.

When a player has all of this together, a simple +Request can be submitted with all of the above information.
